=========================================================================== Archive Maintainer : This is the pwad-version of an old doom-add-on, that required to change the iwad by using dmgrapph.exe. This pwad version is playable with any advanced source port without changing the iwad. Neither the level nor the graphics and sounds have been changed. Just the data-structure has been rearranged. The dmgraph-version can be found here: http://members.fortunecity.com/presely/game-2.htm Update to : ep-doom.zip, dmelvis.zip, elvis11.wad (This was avaiable under several names. The above are just the names that i know) Primary purpose : Single+Coop play =========================================================================== Title : DOOM IN GRACELAND - Hunka, Hunka Burnin' Love (pwad-version) Filename : elvis11p.wad things.wad kings.wad Release date : 18.10.1994 (Timestamp of the newest file in the original release) 21.11.2004 pwad-version Author : Robert "Aaron" Bukoski CSERVE Address : 74534,655 Pwad-version & upload : FunDuke --> funduke@hotmail.com Description : The former humans and former human sergeants are now Elvis (kings.wad). [From the original text-file:] Memphis, Tenn. 2011. It is after the apocalypse. A demented Dr. Constantine Nichopoulos brings his life's work to fruition and unleashes it upon the helpless planet. It's up to you to defeat his unholy army of Elvis'! This is the first mission of what I hope to make into a full 8 level episode, as soon as I finish making more sprites and textures. I tried to make this level a little more difficult than Doom's E1M1, but not as hard as the higher levels. Misc. Author Info : [From the original text-file:] I you like what I've done with this wad, let me know. Also any comments on the difficulty and design of my map would be appreciated. This is my first up-load of a wad file. I spent a great deal of time changing the sprites and getting the map to work right. So let me know if I should keep working on it or hang up my sequin jumpsuit. You have just to download deutex.exe and deusf.exe (they come in the same zip-file) for example from here: ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idgames/utils/graphics_edit/deutex/ Extraxt the two executables together with the three elvis-wads into your doom-directory. Then type the following commands at the DOS-Prompt: deutex -xtract elvis11p.wad [ENTER] deutex -xtract things.wad [ENTER] deutex -xtract kings.wad [ENTER] deutex -make wadinfo.txt lives.wad [ENTER] deusf -app lives.wad [ENTER] This will create some new directories with stuff, a wadinfo.txt and a playable lives.wad. Now can you safely delete all the new subdirectories, the wadinfo.txt, deusf.exe and deutex.exe, elvis11p.wad, things.wad and kings.wad. And finally you can launch the elvis-add-on by typing this command: doom -file lives.wad [ENTER] Select the first episode. Have fun. * Copyright / Permissions * [From the original text-file:] You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with no modifications.
