=========================================================================== Archive Maintainer : This stuff has been originally released under the filename: Ctsdmg09.zip in the year 1994. It came with a functional, but nowadays outdated installation-method, that modified the doom-iwad by unsing dmgraph. The only change of this current 2004-release (ctsdmgpw.zip) is the fact, that it comes in the pwad-format, that doesn't harm the iwad and is easier to use with source ports. It is also no longer limited to Doom 1 only, but can also be played with Doom II and Final Doom. Update to : Ctsdmg09.zip (changes are in the file-format, not in the graphical content) Primary purpose : No levels included =========================================================================== Title : CREATORS Doom Graphics V0.9 --> now in pwad-format, but no changes in the content, because of that, no change of the version number. Filename : ctsspos.wad / ctsposs.wad Release date : 28-05-1994 (Time-stamp of the newest file in the original Ctsdmg09.zip) 23-10-2004 (Upload of the pwad-version) Author : CREATORS / Toolord of CTS Email Address : funduke@hotmail.com (FunDuke is not the author of the stuff. I just converted it into pwad-format and uploaded it to the /idgames-ftp-archives) Misc. Author Info : Please read README.CTS and FILE_ID.DIZ. Description : The Pistol- and the shotgun-enemy are replaced with digitized pictures of real-life persons (i guess you can't identify them, anyhow). Sarge (The one in the white cammo T-shirt) : Magnum of CTS --> ctsspos.wad Trooper (The one in the leather jacket) : Toolord of CTS --> ctsposs.wad =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : None Sounds : No Music : No Graphics : Yes Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : Deusf (only for plain vanilla doom, see Installation Instructions below) * Play Information * Game : DOOM / DOOM2 This works fine with Doom (1), Ultimate Doom, Doom II and Final Doom * Installation Instructions * Most, if not all of the newer source-ports can use these pwads in their current form. So you have to only add them with the -file-parameter to the game: Type: yoursourceport.exe -file ctsspos.wad ctsposs.wad ... and everything is fine. If you want to play with them in plain vanilla doom, you have to run Deusf on them. Deusf comes with deutex. You can get it here: ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idgames/utils/graphics_edit/deutex/ (and mirrors) If you want to fight against both enemies at the same time in plain vanilla doom, you have to put the graphics of both enemies into one file. Copy the pwads in your doom/doom2-directory. Get Deusf. Place it in your doom-directory. To add the graphics of ctsposs to ctsspos.wad, you have to run the command: deusf -join ctsspos.wad ctsposs.wad Now you have to add the graphics of the iwad to the pwad. This is done by running this command: deusf -append ctsspos.wad Now you can run the game, either doom or doom2, with this command: doom(2) -file ctsspos.wad If you want to use only one of enemies-replacements at once, chose what you want, either ctsspos.wad or ctsposs.wad = xxx.wad, then only run: deusf -append xxx.wad Now you can run the game with this command: doom(2) -file xxx.wad * Construction * Base : Modified Ctsdmg09.zip (only the format has changed, not the content) * Copyright / Permissions * You MAY distribute this file, provided you include this text file (ctsdmgpw.txt), and the original text-files, README.CTS and FILE_ID.DIZ. with no modifications.
