================================================================ Title : Alien Filename : alien.bsp Author : CC_Scorpio Email Address : scorpio@bigdog.fred.net Description : Deathmatch level, only has 7 starts, so i guess it's best for 3-7 people. Fairly small, inherently simple, yet i think it challenges the set patterns of contemoprary deathmatch play. Additional Credits to : ID Software, for Quake, Arzhan, for his architectural suggestions, guys on IRCNet #quake: Kayos (for his general lev editing help), and everyone else. :)) ================================================================ * Play Information * Level Name : Alien Single Player : Just to look around. no exit. Cooperative 2-4 Player : Nope... boring, not to mention impossible Deathmatch 1-4 Player : oh yeah. There are 7 player starts. Difficulty Settings : No. New Textures : nope Anything else new : Hmm... i don't think so Comments : This one is very cool in my opinion. It's really small, and it screams playability. there's nowhere to hide/snipe/camp/whatever and although all the weapons are there, i think they come to you at the wrong time. A lot of conventional DM techniques are void here due to architecture. Rocket techniques, camping, and several other gameplay tactics aren't really possible here. Players will need to find a new way to kill. without dying first that is... Overall, i think it's a difficult level. * Construction * Base : scratch . (unlike the many carbon copies out there) Build Time : 5 Days. Mostly fighting with Thred bugs then searching for machine to VIS on :) Qbsp-time : 139 seconds Light-time (-extra) : 122 seconds Vis-time (-level 10) : 16606 seconds On a Pentium 90 with 64 Megs of RAM Editor(s) used : Worldcraft(1.0) Known Bugs : none that i know of * Legal Stuff * do whatever the fuck you want with it except say it's yours. * Where to get this BSP * kinda pointless now eh? have fun kiddies (C) 1997 THL Inc.
