June 15 1997 ================================================================ Title : The Aventine Filename : aventine.zip Author : Steve Wilson ..... Thundermug Email Address : SwBthumper@aol.com Description : This is a level I made with the intentions of combining the most detail I could, while saving framerate. I set out to do a sequel to Palatine, but I went crazy. I made somewhat of a modern complex with links to the past. I wanted to make something different in the quake world- not actually architecture wise, but atmosphere, using unique texturing and lighting. Being a sniper myself, I made a level that plays fast and fun while leaving you the impression that someone else is watching you. This level is a blast with reapers.. Other levels : Ganymede, Callisto, Outland, Port, Outland II, The Sancterium, Palatine Additional Credits to : Armin for Quakemap 2.8 (I'll never change) Greenhornet and Fubar for the frag testing : Steve Polge for the Reaper for fun go to : http://www.parable.com/godbox/godbox.htm ================================================================================= * Play Information * Single Player : No Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes (6 starts) for 2 to 8 players * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : QuArk 3.3 Build Time : Two days Texture Wad used : Quakewad with custom textures added Compile machine : Pentium 150, 32mb ram QBSP Time : About 14 minutes Light (-extra) Time : About 10 minutes VIS (-level 4) Time : About 11 hours Brushes : ?
