I must say I am very pleased with what I have accomplished. It was a 'learn as u go' process. I have plenty more ideas mullin around in my noggin that i will slap into a quake map if I ever get enough free time. I imagine this would play great with 8 or more players, 5 should be enough to keep you sassified. There are some pretty nifty traps on this map, be sure to drop your buddies into the lava when theyre going for the RL, and pop 'em when theyre trying to maneuver through the tripwires to one of the quads...That should give you jollies :) Thanks go out to all the people who have helped along the way: Nioxin, who was most responsible for this map being finished at all. Levellord, for taking even a little of his time to answer some of my questions, and being cool to me in general. ApocaLips and Muffkin, for sharin the dubs and whatever else happened to be on the menu. I wanna know what you think* -Obey the flesh. Soylent SECRETS: I suppose some of the secrets might be hard to find.. to me they are pretty obvious, but I made the map afterall. So here they are, bear with me trying to describe them. 1) In the central room (The room you start in when in single player mode) there is a secret door behind a wall on the 2nd floor. There is a flashing light, you cant miss it. This leads to a walkway on top of a roof. go to the end, look up you see a button, shoot it, a door opens to your right. this leads to an elevator going up to a quad. 2) In the central room, on the third floor, look at the ceiling in the room immediatly adjacent to the third floor, there is a hole you can Rocket Jump into. Once you are up here, you can hop down to the side onto a small ledge that has a pentagram. 3) In the room with the pentagram on the ceiling, there is a ledge with a red armor. a button is under this ledge, shoot it and the grate will open allowing access to the elevator. 4) In the large lava room, you can jump down into the lava where the small circle is rising from the lava. This brings you to a pent. In this room across from the RL is a button. Press this and a grate comes out, pushing in unwary victims who run carelessly for the Rocket Launcher. 5) In the room at the end of the small hallway that leads from the large lava room is a button, shoot this and the floor slides out from under the megahealth. 6) In the room at the top of the long elevator coming from lava room ( the small one with the spiked railing) is a button that opens a grate to a ring of shadows. the button is where the light pulsates. 7) In the other room that is above the long elevator coming from lava room is another ring, its above a ledge in some shadows and you have to rocket jump to it. *note* i mailed out an earlier copy of this level called Fleshdm1.bsp, if you have it dont use it. It has an exit that crashes the game for some reason. You may not use this level to build additional levels. You may not put this level on any stupid fuckin deathmatch CD. This level is only to be distributed electronically via the internet or BBS system. If you wish to break any of these rules you must have my written consent. Failure to obey these rules will result in severe head trauma and loss of vital bodily functions.
