August 27 1998 - June 30, 1999 ........Brooklyn, NYC ----------------------------------------------- FILE TITLE: sqtank.bsp MAP TITLE: the Squonkertank (executive edition) AUTHOR: Squonkamatic for the People!! EMAIL: snyland@earthlink.net URL: http://aqua.macquakeinfinity.com Hotline Server: 208.132.136.220:5555 AquaQuake Public QuakeWorld Server: 208.132.138.99:27515 DESCRIPTION: "Entry" level into the first AquaQuake mission pack - do battle in a long 3/4 filled watertank in either SP or DM mode. The smallness of the level breeds a ferocity of combat that allows no quarter; there is no place to hide. You gotta slug it out!! ----------------------------------------------- SINGLE PLAYER: yes - many targets for you to practice on. Lots of Zombies; I like Zombies. The exit is guarded by the Enforcer....you'll see what I mean. COOPERATIVE ENGAGEMENT: no - "I work alone" DEATHMATCH: yes- there are 4 starts. Tested against ONE lousy Reaperbot and he KICKED my ass!! Very fast and sick. NEW TEXTURES: no NEW MUSIC: Quake has music? QUAKE C: what's that? KNOWN BUGS: Sometimes the Demon/Feind won't die if you leave him till last, but just kind of wanders around stretched out like John Travolta in a disco dance pose while you shoot him. Odd. ----------------------------------------------- EDITOR USED: JQT for the Mac!! BASE: my JQT tutorial map BUILD TIME: "an evening" BRUSHES: 12 ENTITIES: 104 QBSP time: 17 seconds LIGHT: 7 seconds VIS: 2 seconds ------------------------------------------------ NOTE: Welcome to AquaQuake!! This the little "entry" level for my first custom map pack being developed for the AquaQuake Vault, and is basically a cleaned up version of the first map I ever made with JQT during my tutorial experience. But you know, this map is really kind of fun, especially when compared with some of the other lumbering efforts in this very pack. Maybe simple really is better sometimes. The map exits to "deepend.bsp" and if both maps are not in the proper folder you will get an error message upon trying to spawn the next map after exiting. Enjoy!! Authors are hereby discouraged from using this map as the base for a new level. Do your own thinking - you'll appreciate the results more! You may distribute this archive in any electronic format concievable as long as nobody makes any money off of it. ----------------------------------------------- Visit the AquaQuake Vault for more wet, watery classic Quake levels at http://aqua.macquakeinfinity.com ----------------------------------------------- SQ 827 + 120198 and 063099
