By selecting this menu, you'll be able to check your operationnal structures, such as Research Lab and Turrets. You'll find lots of important informations about the current upgrades, the health of your structures, etc...


Create Research Lab Base
One of the most important thing of the Engineer class : the research lab. This structure will allow you to upgrade all of your team technology (resistance, strenght, airstrike, turrets, homing missiles, etc...). You must first create the Research Lab base by selecting the "Create Research Lab base" in the Options part of the toolkit menu, and then you'll have to continue building it with your Building-Gun. You'll need (at default) 300 cells for the complet construction. Be carfull, despite of his 2000 health, it's very weak because he can't defend himself. I suggest that you build a turret near it, and place a Stealth Trooper or Laserman too protect you and your Research Lab while you're building it.


Build Teleporter Dest / Build Teleporter Door
Another strategical structure of the Engineer class : the self-teleporter. Only your team will be able to use it. To install it in the world, place firstly your body where you want the teleporter destination to be, and then select the "Build Teleporter Dest" of the Toolkit Menu. Once it's done, go to the place where you want the teleporter Door to be and select the "Build Teleporter Door" command, which will only be selectable if you have a Teleporter Dest placed in the world. Then, once the teleporter Door is placed, you'll be able to remove your teleporter with the "Remove Teleporter" command also selectable only when you've got a teleporter in the world.

Use this teleporter to control vital places of the level, such as Quad places or camping places. But remember that once you've got the flag, you can't teleporter yourself with it, because it would cause a crack in the Space-Vortex, which could be very dangerous for you...


Creating a personnal turret
The engineer also has the possibility of create a turret to defend a certain place. He has to use his turret maker (the <4> key) and fire once, and then a menu showing the different types of turrets will be printed at the screen. If you don't have enough ammos for any type of turrets avalaible in the turret menu, you'll just won't be able to create a turret until you find more ammos. Rocket turrets have 1/2 time more range than the other turrets, but are rockets are less quick.


 

The main ideas...
The Engineer class is a very strategical class. Each team should (must) have at least one Engineer. This class can control many strategical places, with his Turrets and Teleporters, but also, the engineer can upgrade all of his team technology, such as laser-guided and homing missiles, resistance and strenght of the team, and airstrike. But on the other hand, this class won't be very strong in attack (not at all in fact...), because his weapons and strenght are very poor compared to the other classes. So engineers should stay at base, on defense.
