They also did the terrain file (its from Siege). Date Distributed : 6 April 2000 ================================================================ * Play Information * Level Name : DesertSiege.mis Game Type : Capture-the-Flag Additional Game Files : None Additional Code/Scripts : None Demos Included : None Other files included : The description file (DesertSiege.dsc) and this file. Software needed to play : Starsiege Tribes by Dynamix Comments : Its 2 large bases facing each other up close across a hilly desert landscape. I used the same landscape and prefabs as the original 'Siege' mission, but there's a lot of changes. First, its CTF, not D&D. But I also completely changed the layout. The bases are located in an entirely different part of the terrain, they are closer, and the item layouts inside are all different. The flag is fairly easy to get to and the turrets are not hard to get around. To win this mission you will have to have both good offence and defense. There is a resupply room that is fairly well protected. If the enemy flag-carrier hides-out in there, then send in the heavies. There is a vehicle pad located below the aft base entry. * Installation * If you want to run a server with this map, unzip 'DesertSiege.mis' and 'DesertSiege.dsc' into your '~tribes/base/missions' directory. You do not need to download or install this mission if you just want to connect to a server running the mission. However, you can practice off-line and read the *.dsc file on-line if you have this mission installed. * Construction * Editor(s) used : Tribes 2.10.5 built-in-editor Known Bugs : none * Legal Stuff * -------------------------- This is a completely unsupported product - if you computer blows up don't blame me. If you want to distribute this mission, go ahead. The more people that play it the better.
