A Story for inspiration: The scene is of a little farm in Roswell, New Mexico. You are a Slave, I mean SHARECROPPER that plows the field for your master. It's late at night as you tend to your own garden. You hear your master growling and calling you from the larger field. All of a sudden, You see a ship passing overhead. It's gonna crash in the thick brush east of your house. As you are watching the U.F.O., you wonder whether you should go see where it will crash, or if you should see what the Master wants. He sounds mad. You forgot to finsh plowing the big field. The Master is gonna whip your ass to death for it. You see police and military officers swarm the farm telling you to get in your old shack or they'll open fire. You've been oppressed for so long, you don't care what happens. You whip out a gun that you stole from the Master's tool shed, since it was the only small weapon to steal. You curse at God, for the death of your beloved pet Hamster, Wamp, and load a stolen clip for the gun, as you avenge your hamster's death!!!!!! **If You would like to know everything about my level, scroll to the very end. Please Read it, because I wrote DM strategies and secret stuff you can do on my level. It includes the location of the U.F.O crash site. Additional Credits to : Me. My dead Hamster (Wamp). Known Bugs : Only a door that disapears at an angle in the restroom. It doesn't affect game play though. * Where to get this MAP file * FTP sites: BBS numbers: Other: ****HERE'S THE DECLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS OF THE ROSWELL CRASH!!!!!!!!********* 1. To find the crash site, simply watch where the U.F.O crashes and go explore the area. Don't forget to enter the spaceship and see what's behind door #1. (It's The only door in there.) ** (It is Hidden by a masked wall, parralell to the truck.) 2. Press the space bar in or close by a corner outside or in a building. ** ( You will pee or Duke will say that he can't play with himself.) 3. Press the spacebar on one of the trees in the forest. ** ( You will act like a dog and get the urge to 'water' the tree.) 4. There is a secret area that can view the 7 or 8 cameras I put in the map. It is hidden by a masked wall in the outside area by the tower. ** (Just climb the green tower and walk straight into the wall.) 5. To enter the Slave's shack, (1) go to the side of the house with out the window. Activate the switch to bring lower the walls in the doorway. Or (2), go to the side of the house with the window move over to the left a little and press the spacebar. It will activate a switch behind the wall, since the wall is so thin. 6. To enter the Master's house, (1) go to the left side of the house with the switch and activate it. Or (2) You can enterthe back of the house by going through the window. 7. Take a look at the wall by the slaughter house. It's my name. Wow. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ DUKEMATCH STRATEGIES:::::: 1. THE TWO HOUSES: Use the switch in either house to secure your position for a second. However, I made switches on the out side and inside, so a person could try to get in by leaving a bomb or laser tripbomb at the door and go pull the switch. If the person INSIDE the house wants to keep U out, They MUST go to the front door to deactivate the walls for whichever house they're in. Then you can detonate the bomb or the laser trip will auto-destruct when the wall is moved back up by the OWNER of the house. Even if it is not a direct hit, it should still take some off. U can wear down the OWNER/OCCUPANT of the house, until they search for first-aid, come out, or give up to go hide from U. -The Slave's house is easy to break into, since there is a separate switch for the doors and the window. You can break in either one too, since you can operate the window switch from both sides and the OCCUPANT can't block both door entrances at the same time. -The Master's house is actually easier to break into, since the two entry points are on opposite sides of the house. You can enter the window in the back, which is NEVER locked. However, the OCCUPANT may watch it carefully. U have a good chance of breaking in the front way by activating the switch and running up to the front, where you can enter through two windows or the door itself. You can also set bombs by the front door, to hurt the OCCUPANT if is near and activating the switch.*****The best way to enter the Master's house is by activating the switch and then runnning to the window in the back. The OCCUPANT will think that you are by the front, while you are actually sneaking up behind him. **Hiding places in the Master's House** -You can hide in the refridgerator. -You can hide behind the T.V. 2.The Barn. You can set up camp in the barn as a defensive or offensive measure. You can hide behind one of two crates in there. You can snipe anyone in the forest, on the green tower, in the well, at the pond, near the tool-shed/slaughterhouseor even inside the master's house if the walls R Down. ----It's a great Ammo pit stop, but short on the heavy stuff. 3.THE GREEN TOWER AND HIDEOUT The tower provides excellent coverage for sniping. You can cover the U.F.O. entrance (If that pesky opponent is smugglin' the big guns from the crash site).You got coverage of the well and pond, the sniper spot (the loft) of the barn. You have coverage of the front porch of the master's house. To leave a nice surprise, duck and place a trip bomb on the inner side of the tower,so that an Opponent will think twice about going up there or the hideout. **** The hideout with the viewscreen is hidden behind the tower. The ONLY Useful things about it is that My Security cameras are targeted on the most probable hiding spots. ***Check Out the one in the fridge!!! It's hidden behind a one-sided masked wall...I kill myself. That was cool!! The only sucky place I didn't catch on camera was the big crate in the barn where you can duck behind. BUT HEY, I want this level to retain a few surprises. DUKEMATCHES AREN'T AS INTERESTING IF YOU CAN ALWAYS SPOT THE OPPONENT. 4. THE TOOL-SHED/SLAUGHTERHOUSE Sorry, there are know secrets in this building, only snipeful windows. 5. THE CRASH SITE By now, I truly hope You understand where it is... Just watch where the ship goes down. It will go through a masked wall. I originally had a blimp in there for a quick bonus to the first person to get in there, but decided to take it out. I figured the first person on the scene would get every single weapon and wait for it to respawn to get more ammo. ----MY Hamster Cage is behind the door inside the main hull of the U.F.O. Pretty cool.....HuH?? --You can duck and hide behind a lot of the wreckage. 6. THE WELL AND POND The well provides a safe place to hide along with a lotta health and ammo underwater. Sorry no Guns under there. Place a trip bomb inside the well entrance...You Can put bombs above and below the waterin the well. You can place a laser bomb on the wall of the green tower, so that as the opponent comes up he/she will get a fresh dose of laser-skull surgery. Basically place a laser bomb to cover the opening of the well, the puddle, and the pond, to prevent swimming or to keep them under to drown. SPECIAL CHARACTERS IN THE GAME: ---For those who have active imaginations, pretend the farmer master is the black lizard. Your family are the two trashy cave women (a wife and a little daughter). The hooker in the bedroom is the farmer's daughter. Pay a buck, Have a seat, and have a beer. The Farmer's (master's) wife is the stripper takin' a shower. GAMES FOR MULTI-PLAY 1. ASSASSINATION -You can pick a house to protect and the other to hit. GOAL: TO KILL THE FARMER'S FAMILY and THE FARMER, OR THE SLAVE'S FAMILY AND HIMSELF/HERSELF. (2-8 players) 2. SPRITE RAID: YOU can select teams and conduct a series of raids on each house. Select an item that must be destroyed for each team and beat them to it. Best with 4 or more players, since U can leave a buddy behind to protect the crib. 3. YOUNG LAD. (2-8 PLAYERS) One team is Pro-choice, trying to destroy the alien embryo in the U.F.O. The other team is made up of Pro-Lifers trying to Protect the young lad. 4. YOUNG WAMP. (Similar to Above) One team is animal-rights activists, trying to protect the Young Wamp. The other team is made up of evil scientists attempting to grow a nose on a hamster's back. 5. I'll leave the rest of the ideas up to U Hope you like the level, and feel free to edit the level to your needs, such as sprite placement. ALL I ASK IS THAT U GIVE ME CREDIT FOR CREATING THE LEVEL. I've created and tested this level on My Pentium 120, and also on my 486Dx66 The very beginning will be choppy due to the ship and the several bad guys comin' at U. To help reduce any slow downs on a 486, blow up all dead bodies and destroy as many sprites as u can, except those that animate after being destroyed, like toilets. If U need to just go into build and delete all of the crops in the field. That should help out anyone runnin' a 486. The Pentiums will not need any editing. ===========================================================================
