================================Author Info=================================== Title : Sunset Boulevard Blues Version : 1.45 Author : BiG BiRD/MiSTER ED Contact : wc-wong@xtra.co.nz Description : This is my first map and I think it's not bad for a first try. I've been working on and off on it for over eight months now. After playing some maps with Duke-sized garbage bins, bad texture alignment and lots of dancing girls, I figured I'd try and do a LOT better than that! Home-grown user level - Made in good old Auckland, NZ! Distributed thru The Gaulish Village BBS (649-810-8955) and various Net sites such as DukeWorld (http://www.dukeworld.com). Big Headed Remark : Voted the BEST Duke3D map of New Zealand 1997! Files included : SSBB145.ZIP - Zip file containing: SSBB145.MAP - The level SSBB145.TXT - This file SSBB.MID - Music for the level SSBB.HNT - Hints file for the level SSBBUSER.CON - Modified USER.CON for the level SSBBDEFS.CON - Modified DEFS.CON for the level *.WAV - Some new sounds for the level ;) SSBB145.BAT - Batch file for setting up level Additional Credits to : 3D Realms for ruining the life of my friends & I. :) Michael Downward "Ijit" for tips on using Build. Chad Marinkovich "Satan's Son" for optimising the music (now plays best on AWE32, but sounds okay on any OPL-3 based synth) and a couple of level ideas. Andrew Veale "Daisy the Sheep" for some level ideas, and for multi-player beta testing. Deh Fuhrer for pestering me to release a 486- friendly version of SSBB - available on The Gaulish Village as SSBB145L.ZIP) Myself for changing my name... from MiSTER ED to BiG BiRD... ;) Other levels I've made : Working on a follow-up to Sunset Boulevard Blues. ============================================================================== ** Play Information ** Level # : Level 1 Single Player : Yes! This contains information that will help you complete the level. Use a normal text editor (such as DOS Edit) which will enable you to view the file. Authors MAY NOT use SSBB145.MAP as a base to build additional levels. You MAY distribute SSBB145.MAP, provided you include this file, with no modifications. You may distribute SSBB145.MAP in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc.) as long as you include the above mentioned files intact. You may do anything with the MIDI and sound files. And if you want to edit my modified .CON files, go ahead. Just don't come crying if the game spits out a "Found errors in USER.CON file" message, okay? (Note: Don't attempt editing .CON files with DN Atomic Edition!!!) If you put this on a compilation CD (like Nuke-IT, for example) that you plan to charge for, I would be most obliged to receive a free copy. But please, don't alter the level in any way except for changing of the MAP number. ** Where to get this MAP ** Well ya got it now, so what's the problem? But here's a plug for my "official" distribution site: The Gaulish Village BBS Auckland, New Zealand Phone 649-810-8955 You can also find it on various Dukematch forums on the Net... for example: http://www.dukeworld.com "The BEST Duke3D Site on the Net!"
