Title: Fortress of the Damned Filename: fortdamn.wad Author: Dave Jessop Email Address: jessopd@whsb.essex.sch.uk (until summer 2002) Description: Dirty great big castle. Additional credits: Wilco van den Dool; the bed is a total rip off of his one in Citadel of Sorrow. My brother; who showed me how to do that really cool thing round the edge of the map Episode and level #: Map 01, Doom2 Single player: Yes Cooperative 2-4 player: Only if you can't do it on your own. Deathmatch 2-4 player: Technically possible, but probably wouldn't be much fun. Difficulty settings: Yes, but anything lower than UV is too easy ;-) New sounds: Yes New music: Nope, just crank up the Nirvana. New graphics: Yes General Kick-arseiness: Yes Demos replaced: Demo 1 is a recording of hurt me plenty for those who seriously need help with the level. I didn't do it on UV because I didn't want to give all the suprises away. Oh, and I don't usually suck so much at the end. Base: New level from scratch Build time: God knows; on and off (mostly off) for about 6 months to build the level, then random periods of adding other bits whenever I felt like it. Editors used: DoomCad 5.0, DMapEdit 4.2.2, Wintex 4.2 and 4.3, TED, Paint Shop Pro. Known bugs: Some hall of mirrors when looking at the castle from the corners of the map, but I couldn't be bothered to work out what was going on. * Copyright / Permissions * Nothing I say will make a difference, so do what the hell you want, but at least give credit where it's due. If you distribute, keep this TXT with the WAD. You may place this WAD on any compilation on the proviso that I get a free copy. ;-)
