=========================================================================== Archive Maintainer : Best played with falling damage (zdoom) to die quicker in the pit Advanced engine needed : (ZDoom) Primary purpose : Deathmatch =========================================================================== Title : The Hell Pit Filename : the-hell-pit.wad Release date : December 1, 2006 Author : Steve "Vermilion" Thiesmeyer Email Address : vermilion1st@yahoo.com Other Files By Author : doom64sounds.wad, ultragun2.wad Misc. Author Info : First baby steps at mapping with ZDoom. Give me a break :p Description : The hell pit is a fast paced deathmatch map with secret doors leading to your hearts desire. In the middle is a very deep pit with a bridge. Inside the pit are spikes or "sloped floors" and gives -20 damage. I would consider it a moderate diffculty dm map, especially on 1 vs 1. Additional Credits to : Myself, John W. Anderson (for the sky texture) =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : Yes Sounds : Yes Music : Yes Graphics : Yes (sky) Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No * Play Information * Game : DOOM2 Map # : map07 Single Player : No Cooperative 2-4 Player :No Deathmatch 2-4 Player :No Other game styles : 1on1, ffa, team dm. Difficulty Settings :Not implemented * Construction * Base : New from scratch Build Time : not very long, about a week to get aquainted with the tools. Editor(s) used : XWE, and doom builder Known Bugs : The corners of the hell pit are untextured. This is because of the extra sector wrapping around the room sectors. To get rid of it I would have to re-do the room sectors and I don't want to :p May Not Run With : Everything besides ZDoom.
