================================================================ Title : Grace Under Pressure for Doom II Filename : GUP.WAD Author : Mr Scary (Joel Ansier) Email Address : jansier@sun.iwu.edu; Cruecial@aol.com Misc. Author Info : 20 year old Doomer. Sad to see it die. Metalhead. Description : Medium-sized level, built with single- player and co-op in mind. This level features a 95% linear design, challanging gameplay, and good texture alignment. I've tried to make it live up to the high standards set by the kings of wad design - the Memento Mori crew, and the authors of the Master Levels. This is a quality level. Average completion time: @16 minutes Reasons to download : No #$!!@*& jumps. No narrow hallways filled with Archvilles. No impossible "puzzles" that the author obviously designed whilst drunk and blindfolded. Paced gameplay - not boring, not a total slugfest. No tunnels. Impressive usage of the Unpegged Attributes. No lava. The SS Dude makes a cameo. You start with the Plasma rifle. Additional Credits to : my friend Lord Beer, for multiplayer testing. my brother, for playtesting Jim Flynn and Michael Reed, for inspiration George Lynch, for burning guitar solos ================================================================ * Play Information * Game : DOOM II Episode and Level # : Map 1 Single Player : Yes (as it should be) Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes (enhanced for co-op) Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (the more the merrier) Difficulty Settings : Yes New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : Yes ("Subdivisions" by Rush) Demos Replaced : Demo 1: I am Green, Lord Beer is Indigo * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : WinDEU 5.23 (majority of editing) DCK 3.61 (here and there at the end) WARM 1.6 Wintex 4.2 XMUS 0.5 Known Bugs : Well . . . if you get killed on the second elevator while it's going up, you might see a small HOM - only happened once though, and was due largely to the extraordinarily complex architecture. :) No bugs. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels.
