================================================================ Title : malgnant.wad (malignant.wad) Author : Douglas Ryerson Email Address : dryerson@botany.utoronto.ca Misc. Author info. : this is my 15th level (2nd for Doom][). The title for it comes from the fact that I have seen other wads named bastard, wanton, etc. and so I thought I would contribute to this wad naming genre. (what a lame reason!) Feedback is appreciated, especially about the difficulty and/or the layout. I am interested to know what you think about the layout, the choice of textures, set up of rooms, traps, etc. In terms of difficulty, I am only one guy and so it is not easy to judge the difficulty of the level. Too easy, too hard? ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode : Map 01 of Doom ][ (Version 1.8) Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (but it is a fairly large wad Difficulty Settings : Yes (all) New Sounds : No New Graphics : Yes Demos Replaced : No Description: : Check out the psychodelic titlepic graphic replacement! This is a rather large level based on three large government-style buildings surrounded by pavement and grass. Lots of monsters, ammo and health for a continuous fight. ================================================================ ================================================================ * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : Too much time! Editor(s) used : dck 2.0 (bsp 1.2x), Wintex33 Known Bugs : Presence of two impassable linedefs at the height of two nearby windows in one room. These lines are not visible in the editor, nor did I draw them. They do occur in the game though. It was well into the design of the level when I discovered them and so was too late. I rearranged the objects in the game so that this problem will have little effect on the outcome and playability. DCK is a fairly stable editor and I assume that the lines arose as a result of an error in the editing program. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may use these levels as a bases to build additional levels.
