================================================================ Title : UAC Filenames : uac.wad uac.deh - this is, for now, optional. Later versions will include "spectre" imps and other monsters, and it will be required. If you play on harder skill levels, you might want the faster guns. I've never tested it without the DeHacked file. Good luck if you do! Author : Kara C. Rader Email Address : Kara@xfury.net WWW Page : http://xfury.net/Xarenrath/UAC.html Misc. Author Info : I've been making Doom levels for a long time. I recently made a 9-level deathmatch wad for Doom I that my friends enjoyed playing (small levels, all guns, no health or powerups). I still prefer this file, though. I may include some of these levels as the "deathmatch areas" of the levels. Description : I made this just out of boredom. I originally intended it to be the "official UAC building," and went from there. I've been working on it since sometime in 2000 on and off (more of the off). I only recently converted it to Doom II format so I can use the additional monsters. I tried to include a lot of detail in the level and keep it interesting. The typical scheme of the levels is that humans are inside, monsters are outside. I plan to have several outside levels later on. ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : MAP01, "beta" version of MAP02 Single Player : Yes. Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes, there are more monsters. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Since the level is so big I added a deathmath level off to the side of the actual level. So, yes. Little time was spent on it, though. Difficulty Settings : Yes! Including multiplayer! New Sounds : No. New Graphics : Not unless you count the converted walls. New Music : No. Demos Replaced : Later. * Construction * Base : Started from scratch. Editor(s) used : Registered DeePsea, the best editor I've ever come across. DeHacked to do the dehacked files. DM2CONV to convert the files to Doom II format. Known bugs : None. If anyone finds any bugs, be sure and tell me where you were and what you were doing when it happened. Time Taken : A... really long time. I work on it for a few hours a month, so I'm not really sure. Usually I just spend time adding little details and making sure everything is alligned right. * Other Details * This is the first file I made when I got the trial version of DeeP97. I made a lot of other things after that (a castle, a bunch of deathmatch level attempts, etc) but this is the only one I didn't trash. It's gotten really big and I think I finally completed level 01. Yay. Mail me if you have any questions or information on the file. You may NOT distribute this file in any format.
