Comments                : Eventually I'd like to redo this with sound,

For those of you who don't know how heres how it works.  Extract all these files into 
C:\Quake2\amovie directory (you will have to make a folder in your quake2 directory call
amovie) then go into DOS and type
cd\
cd quake2
quake2 +set game amovie

then sit back and enjoy
