================================================================ Title : The Last Stand - Base24 Filename : Base24.bsp Author(s) : Invictus Email Address : invictus@stomped.com Description : Deathmatch intended map, well-suited for 2 to 8 combatants Additional Credits to : Team Phoenix for giving me a reason to hack at levels in the first place ================================================================ * Play Information * Level Name : base24.bsp - The Last Stand The name is lame, yes, mostly I have been using whatever revision I happened to be on at the time for the name; hence "base24" - 24th recompiliation of the map :-) Single Player : Only for looking around Cooperative 1-32 Player : Nope. Deathmatch 2-32 Player : 2 to 8 players ideal; more would be a fragfest Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : Yes - several used from the Fantasy Quake maps I've made, with Shaper's permission of course Sound Track : None Demos Replaced : None .map Included : No way! Software needed to play : Normal Quake. Is compatible with Fantasy Quake, (ctf, normal quake etc.): but not intended. Comments : This base started out as a map for Quake 40k, http://q40k.stomped.com, but due to an unrepairable map problem, I had to scrap the thing. I did however keep this base, and built it up for Deathmatch. I just hate wasting maps I suppose .... I have thoroughly tested this map both at home with my brother, Reaper bots, Omnicron bots, etc., but more importantly it passed the most important test of all - the "new users" test. On two different occasions I took this map with me to LAN parties, where the other people didn't know who I was (and therefore wouldn't mind voicing bad comments about a bad map), and to my pleasure everyone LOVED it, and on the second get together, it was even requested. * Construction * Base : A failed Q40k map - originally by myself Build Time : 2 months, on/off work Times & stats :System Used : Pentium 166MMX 64megs EDO RAM Qbsp : Geez I forgot.
