================================================================ Title : Eminent Death Filename : EDEATH.BSP Author : Jeff Tunink Email Address : No email address available Description : Eminent Death is a Quake deathmatch level consisting of three vertically stacked floors. An airtube catapults you to the 2nd floor and from there teleports take you to the 3rd floor. Some deathmatch starts are on the 2nd floor to give you a fighting chance. You could get fragged a bit if the only route to the 2nd floor was through the airtube. Once on the 3rd floor, the only way to return to the 2nd is to jump down through the center of the 3rd. The level is big yet small enough for lots of action. At least 4 players should be eventful. Thanks to Id Software for making a great engine. So much easier to be creative with the polyhedrons vs. those sectors in Doom/Doom2. I can finally make stair steps that aren't solid all the way to the floor. This is the first level I have created for Quake. I look forward to making subsequent deathmatch levels with tricks, secrets, and underwater areas. I want to utilize many more of the features Quake has to offer. I will probably add monsters in my next level so it can double as Single Player/Deathmatch. Making the first level is probably the toughest considering the time it takes to learn the map editor. Not to mention the time it takes to make level touchups for appearance quality. Just for fun, launch a grenade into the top of the air tube. The air will push it upward where it will explode after a few seconds. Could kill somebody trying to come up the air tube :) ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : No Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Monsters : No New Demos : No New Models : No QuakeC Patches : No * Construction * Base : From Scratch Editor(s) used : Some editor that created a .MAP file Known Bugs : No errors I know of Build Time : Approximately 15 hours in my spare time.
