I first saw this in DM7, and thought I could try it too! There are two 'traps' although only one is fatal. Both operate by switches, but you might have to hunt around to find both the switches Additional Credits to :The Nortel playtesters, especially Lindsay for his endless help on how to use worldcraft!. The authors of Worldcraft,Newwad,QBSP(enhanced), Vis (for transparent water),Reaperbots, KQP,QuakeMapSpecs,Steve Rescoe (for The Village) and, of course, the incredible people at id Software, including the bright spark who came up with GLquake!. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : No (well just to check it out) Cooperative 2 Player : No Deathmatch 2-6 Player : Yes Deathmatch 6 or more? : Feel free, but you won't last too long ;-) Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : Don't think so, but thanks to anyone who's textures I've used. New Music : No * Installation * Simply unzip the contents of this zip file into quake\id1\maps directory then from your quake directory type (in dos, or a dos prompt): quake +map my7 Or just download quakeOn and let it take care of it for you! * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Time : About 3 days Qbsp(using an enhanced Qbsp).....69.0s Light-extra.........................182.0 Vis.................................2315.0 The whole thing took 43 mins to compile on my p166mmx 32Mb Ram Editor(s) used : WorldCraft and Newwad, and thanks to the helping head from QuakeOn the BEST quake launcher QBSP(enhanced), VIS (for transparent water). Known Bugs : A couple of small things. When you shoot the button to move the 4 platforms there are a couple (?) of entities (one health I think) that falls to a lower level. The squasher doesn't come down the whole way, or else it would push the entities out through the floor, but it still kills the unwary! I think that's it. If you know different, drop me an e-mail UPDATE: IT WILL SLOWDOWN IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF STUFF GOING ON AT THE ONE TIME IN A BIG OPEN AREA OOPS! Hint : One of the buttons is near the top, the other is near the bottom.
