Credits go out to : idsoftware, Ben Morris, Walnut Creek for the disk space, and Blue for all da news, not to mention American McGee for making Dm4, which this map is modeled after. ======================================================================= Play Information ======================================================================= DM Starts : 6 ======================================================================= Construction ======================================================================= Base : Original (modeled after Dm4) Editor(s) used : WorldCraft Known Bugs : None Build Time : 2 days Texture Wad(s) used : Bad.wad Compile machine : P133, 32mb RAM QBSP Time : 3 minutes, 51 seconds Light (-extra) Time : 2 minutes, 08 seconds VIS (-level 4) Time : 20 seconds Brushes : 704 Entities : 131 Models : 5 Textures : 14 ======================================================================= Info (For anyone who is interested...) ======================================================================= I made this map, not only for the 2 above mentioned projects, but mainly because when I first decided to give map designing a try, I had set out to make a map like American McGee's The Bad Place. But due to a lack of experience and technique, I couldn't get past making a simple room. So basically I made this to fufill that long past goal of mine. The hidden exit (like in id's dm maps) will take you to American's Dm4. This will most likely be my last Dm level for a while. Now I can resume work on my Quake episode. (I'm better at SP maps > go figure :) ======================================================================= Installation ======================================================================= Unzip this othrside.zip to your Quake/id1/maps directory. Now startup Quake in DeathMatch mode and type this in at the console: map othrside ======================================================================= Copyright / Permissions ======================================================================= It's simple: idsoftware owns the textures, and if you ask me, I will more likely let you do what you will (publically) with this map.
