Don't shoot a platform/secret door with the HSW... 2. some skins/textures are messed up (look at the skys) this is 'course of the new palette... 3. the skin on the projectile from the HSW is also messed up, I didn't have time to do one :) 4. Its NOT tested in GLquake or multiplayer... 5. there is more, i just can't remember it... just send a mail to qfiles@brutality.com if you find anything else... * How to use this * How to install : Just unzip the zip into a sub dir to quake, for example /quake/qfiles then copy the quake.exe in /quake/qfiles to /quake/quake.exe (if you have eighter of the mission packs or use winquake you dont need to do this) Qfiles isn't tested on GLquake (im getting a 3dfx card soon, and then i will start to test it in GL), but please send me a mail if you find any problems with GL. Its not tested in multiplayer eighter, if you get the chance to try it in multiplayer, tell me how/if it works (it should work, but it might be abit unbalanced) How to play : run quake like this: quake -game qfiles it is strongly recomended that you have more than 16 meg of RAM and use the -winmem 12 parameter. Impulses : impulse 1 = QBI badge / baseball bat impulse 2 = pistol impulse 3 = shotgun impulse 4 = minigun impulse 5 = sniper rifle impulse 6 = Without SUB: molotov cocktail, gas grenade With SUB: Mine (temp removed) impulse 7 = Without SUB: bazooka, still needs to be fixed alot... With SUB: torpedo impulse 8 = Railgun / HSW5000 (send me a mail with you guesses what hsw stands for =) impulse 15 = toggle chasecam impulse 16-21 = move chasecam around (needs to be fixed abit) impulse 42 = secondary weapon. if you have the pistol it changes to the pistol&flashlight, if you have the molotov or gasgrenade it changes between hi/low throwing angle and if you have the mini- gun it toggles between single and dual minigun. impulse 112 = leave sub * History * Beta 0.01 (private) : First private release. Beta 0.02 (private) : Flashing flashlight bug fixed added "blood drops" (this is cool) added shotgun and "alien" laser riffle added exploding walls (use exploding_wall) added "exploding" glass (use break_glass) there is more but i cant remember it now... Beta 0.03 (private) : added reloading frame to the gun fixed breaking glass bug messed around a bit with the "blood drops" added music!! added rain!! I guess its more... Beta 0.07 (private) : changed 0.06 in 0.07 in end2.bin hehe changed the gun model back into the old (better) one put in the new shotgun (qc needed for the reload thing) added new console background new plaque (with Q-Files instead of ...) new gfx.wad (statusbar stuff) Beta 0.08 (private) : changed that damn end2.bin(again) i cant find anything that looks cool :( removed the alien laser rifle, cuz it had way to many polys... added a minigun added the sub!!! (start sub.bsp) added chasecam (still needs some fixes...) Well... thats what i can remember right now... Beta 0.09 (private) : Fixed the movement code for the sub... its much better now. (will be redone again) added torpedo added mine (this dont work, yet) Beta 0.10 (private) : Fixed the movement code for the sub (again). fixed torpedo fixed mine (this now works!!) fixed the heli abit + more, that i cant remember... Beta 0.11 (private) : I fixed alots of stuff... and removed some cuz there were to many bugs... all things I have removed will be back in a later beta. Beta 0.12 (PUBLIC) : First PUBLIC release, fixed stuff that orca3D told me... thanx man.. Beta 0.13 (PUBLIC) : Added the minigun and dual minigun (no skin yet), also fixed some small bugs. Also made qfiles.hlp (help file) Beta 0.14 (PUBLIC) : WOW!! first enemy!! the invisible man, it replaces the grunts for now, they are very hard, so you better watch your health... Beta 0.15 (private) : Well... lots of things have changed... just try it, ok?
