================================================================ Title : Breeze Plus Filename : EditPlus Version : BETA Author : Zeb Email Address : spsobole@franklin.nysernet.org Description : Utilities to convert Breeze (cad/nff) files to map format for qbsp. ================================================================ This is a set of utilities I wrote to convert cad files created by Breeze ( a full blown 3d editor for Perception of Vision POV raytracer) to .map file that can be compiled using ID's qbsp into quake levels. Stuff You Need: Windows 95 ( I know.. yuck) Breeze editor (available at www.povray.org) Quake wad files. Some time ( to learn Breeze) How to use: To get quake textures to work you have to go into Breeze and from the edit menu.. select textures.. then click ADD. Then you have to type in the appropriate QUAKE Texture. For Instance "*WATER" (must be caps) When you create a cube you can right click and pull up the textures menu. Select the texture (ie. *WATER) and click OK. When savin you will get a bunch of error messages about texture definitions. Ignore it.. it's a known problem and That's the next thing I'm gona fix. Create a level using the box tool.. the boxes can be streched rotated and skewed and save the output to a .cad file. Then export the level to a nff file. Pull up a dos prompt. Run: make where name is the name of the saved file (DO NOT INCLUDE THE .cad or .nff EXTENSION) Run: qbsp where name is the generated .map file. Help: "animal.nyser.net/breeze/breeze.html" I will answer all I questions that I get on the web page. More: Sorry this stuff is kinda rushed... I'm currently working on a bunch of projects and working full time... so this is a spare time kinda thing. Anyways good luck and have fun. PS. Please don't e-mail me about problems with Breeze.. I'm not the author of it. Thank you. -Zeb * Legal Stuff * You may distribute and modify this level, as long as you include my text file and give me credit.
