Installation : Do not place in the Nike directory, if you have it installed. Unzip and Place in Quake2/Baseq2/Maps Start Quake with: +set deathmatch 1 +map ctype For server +set server 1 +set deathmatch 1 +map ctype Or at the counsel type: deathmatch 1 map ctype I also use +set maxclients 20 Special Notes : Map uses rotating doors in places, when you approach one, back up a little as it opens. Sometimes bots can get throught, sometimes they can't. You must crouch to get on top the ventilation ducts in the reactor room. Some effort is needed to get out of the Tokamak fusion reactor, should you find yourself inside it : ) It's possible to hop into the space between the forward lifting thrusters and the side-walls. It takes some skill to get out but it's possible. I get all the way in the corner, and move forward and hop right out : ) Because it's possible to get out, I have not clip-brushed it out of reach. Barely noticable HOM: In the hanger corner looking diagonally under the ship. In the reactor room looking into the Tokamac from on top of the air ducts. Long hanger hallway on command center side. ====================================================================== * Copyright / Permissions * These level and story are Copyright (C) 1988, 1989 by Brenda Ellen Perdion. Incident Report: The remains of Company G were found in a C-TYPE (DEETOGRA:NEY) Strogg ship. Preliminary Investigation indicates after securing the hanger and the then ship, Company G then became trapped, locked in the hanger area for some time. For unknown reason, order broke down, mutiny soon broke out with many factions. Our team found weapons, supplies, bodies and ammunition throughout the ship. This particular Ney's tokamak fusion reactor was offline perhaps for repairs. Tokomak could not maintain plasma for more than a few seconds. The ship was operating on battery power. Without power, its front .9 meter guns were unable to even break trough the hanger doors. The LRS was unable to clear between the top of the Ney and the bottom of the hanger doors. The hanger is embedded underground with mine-type walls and doors. Almost any handheld weapon would have little effect on its hardened-plate construction. This Ney is almost unremarkable: 100 meters of length. Four each; vertical; horizontal and maneuvering engines. Except for bridge, reactor, forward and engineering, it has typical near-symmetrical layout. It has redundant fuel, oxidizer, and air handlers. Note the front backup tanks are swapped left-to-right, so we will no longer be able to exploit this weakness when attacking current ships. A rather major fuel leak was found on the starboard side, it was a nothing short of a miracle that it wasn't ignited by gunfire. One horizontal bridge door has been forced open. I am requesting 2 Strogg equipment personnel to assist in my evaluation. I would rater not disclose why yet. It may be just a hunch. I am also requesting that all computer data from the immediate base uploaded to this location. I am requesting 2 additional persons for this task. As soon as all are positively identified, a casualty list will follow. ... I will need an additional 24 hours with the technicians. I am also requesting a Strogg-Tec with communications experience. ... I have evidence supporting my theory that Company G was almost allowed to take this sacrificed ship and hanger. Once inside, they were sealed in. They killed each other one-by-one hour-by-hour while the Stogg watched and listed. 1) The hanger was locked from the outside and couldn't be opened from the inside. 2) The Stogg-Tecs found all transporters would allow incoming but not going personnel. 3) Transmitters and recording devices were found throughout the ship. 4) High ranking Strogg was aware of the happenings, collected data was found in nearby computers. It is my finding that this was one large-scale psychology experiment. It looks like the human race did not pass this test. If I may speak freely, I don't know what trouble me more. The fact that the Stogg had the war material to perform this experiment, or that they had the cunning. I can't imagine what it could have be like for them.
