Description
Minions of Destruction(MoD) is a gametype modification for Unreal Tournament version 413. MoD is a deathmatch game extension that brings both a one against many menality, but some of the cool team features all under one roof.

In the game everyone fights to becoming the Minion of Destruction. The game begins out normally until a pawn attains a certain number of frags. The pawn is then infused with a primal rage which transforms the pawn into a Minion of Destruction. The MINION! is generally stronger, faster and more deadly than a normal pawn and can rain havok throughout the game if not stopped. On the flipside, the Minion loses health at a steady rate and only by continuing its killing spree can it regain the lost health.

Stopping the Minion of Destruction is no easy task and may require teamwork to bring it down. Bringing down the Minion of Destruction is always a must with any of the scoring systems as in most cases, the pawn who remains theMINION! the longest typically scores the most point and wins the game!

The result of the Minions of Destruction game is a fast, and furious deathmatch of one aginst everyone else and its own solo soundtrack from

Select from Scoring, HUD, Scoreboard and MINION! Weapons sections for more details about the various features of Minion of Destruction.

Scoring
Minions of Destruction includes four different scoring systems in which a server can be setup to play with. [Perhaps a future feature will be randomization of scoring system in each new game.]

Standard Scoring
Standard scoring is just that, the Standard DeathMatch scoring in a pawn gets credited a score each time it frags another pawn. Also, it gets a penalty of -1 if it suicides. The only change to this scoring system is that a pawn that kills a MINION! gets a bonus set by the server admin.

MINION! Only Scoring
MINION! Only scoring is very similiar to the Standard Scoring except that only the MINION! scores points for killing other pawns. No bonus is given to pawns who kill the MINION! since only the MINION! collects scores points.

Flag Hunt Scoring
Flag Hunt is the DeathMatch version of Capture the Flag. A special Minions of Destruction flag is spawned at the start of the game and anyone can grab it and carrying it around. In fact, it behooves you to grab the flag as fast as you can. If you have the flag, then you will want to become the MINION! as fast as possible as to score points you must capture the flag as the MINION! Alternatively, if there is a MINION! present in the game, keeping the flag away from it will keep it from scoring points!

Last MINION! Standing Scoring
You guessed it, this is the Minions of Destruction version of the Last Man Standing game. In Last MINION! Standing, you try and become the last player alive in the game. Just as in Last Man Standing you lose points for each death, whether it be from suicides or being killed by another pawn. However, if you are the MINION!, there is a chance, for each pawn you kill, that you will be able to regain a lost life! So if you are the MINION!, its KILL and KILL as often as possible!

HUD
Minions of Destruction includes two different HUDs for your viewing pleasure. The first HUD is almost identically similiar to the normal DeathMatch HUD you are used to. The second HUD is a special HUD that will be used any time any player, not bots of course, becomes the MINION!

Below is a picture of the normal HUD showing the the position and an enlarged view of the additional HUD elements.

A) Number of kills that you have currently that counts towards your transformation as the MINION!
B) The Minions of Destruction scoring system for this game/server.
C) A message that lets you know who is the MINION!

Below is a picture of the normal HUD that shows the slight difference between the the Flag Hunt scoring and the rest of the scoring systems.

A) The FLAG icon lets you know that you are currently lugging around the flag and are ready to score with it once you become the MINION!

Below is a picture of the HUD that you see when you are the MINION!

A) The Minions of Destruction scoring system for this game/server.
B) Your current health.
C) Ammout of "ammo" that you have available for all your MINION! based weaponry!
C) Total time that you have been the MINION! during the game. The more the better!
E) Number of kills that you have collected while transformed into the MINION!

Scoreboard
Minions of Destruction has three different scoreboard modes. The Standard and MINION! Only scoring systems use the standard Minions of Destruction where as both Flag Hunt and Last MINION! Standing have their own scoreboard modes.

All scoreboards are colored as denote each pawn's status. The coloring scheme is as follows:
Other Players or Bots:

MINION!: Red
Normal: Blue

You:

Minion: Light Red
Normal: Gold

In this example of a standard Minions of Destruction scoreboard mode, you can see that the your name is Hollywood and that the bot or other player named Tamerlane is currently the MINION!

In addition to the coloring system, there are three standard Minions of Destruction stats that are tracked on the scoreboard, in all three different scoreboard modes and are:

MINION! Transforms: Number of times the player/bot transformed into the MINION!
MINION! Frags: Number of frags, kills minus suicides, that the player/bot has as the MINION!
Killed MINION!: Number of times that the MINION! was killed by another player/bot, but not by suicide
Deaths: Number of times the player/bot died

Standard scoreboard mode specific stats:

Frags: Number of frags, kills minus suicides, that the player/bot has. If playing with the MINION! Only scoring system selected, then this should be the same as the MINION! Frags state!

Flag Hunt scoreboard mode specific stats:

Captures!: Number of flag captures that the player/bot has as the MINION!

Last MINION! Standing scoreboard mode specific stats:

Lives Left!: Number of lives left before you are out of the game!

MINION! Weapons
Minions of Destruction offers up to four different weapons for a pawn once transformed into theMINION! See the Configuration section for information on how to configure the chance that each of these weapons will appear for any given transformation.

Death Spitter
The Death Spitter is a slight transformation of the double enforcers in Unreal Tournament. Be warned that the Death Spitter spitters can cause you explosive damage when they impact on target or walls! Not to mention, the explosiveness of the Death Spitters can decapitate your opponents.

Shuriken Cannon
The Shuriken Cannon resembles the Ripper but is quite explosive as it bounces off the walls in primary fire mode.

Assault Cannon
With the focused rage of the MINION! the Minigun suddenly becomes an even more deadly weapon than normal with the ability of the Assault Cannon to decapitate your opponents.

Cyclone
Cyclone can almost say it all, this is the ultimate transformation of a weapon by the MINION!'s rage. The Cyclone differs from the Rocket Launcher in both primary and alternate fire modes. Primary fire only fires a single rocket, but alternate will fire multiple rockets however watch out as it could come back to haunt you. However, the explosiveness of the Cyclone offsets any damage it might inflict on the owner!
